behind the music

Born & raised in small town Seville, Ohio, I've been playing guitar since 2013 when I embraced my angsty pre-teen phase and taught myself how to strum in my childhood bedroom. Now at 26 years old, I spend every second of my down time (or procrastinate my everyday life) by stringing words together along with sound to tell a story. Since the release of my first album, the metaphorical fire to want to keep making music has only grown.

In October of 2022 I released my debut single, 'Whiskey & Wine' as a gift to my cousin and his now wife for their wedding. Since the release of 'Whiskey & Wine,' I spent around a year and a half in the studio recording my debut, 9 track album, 'IGNITE,' which released on 4.5.24, and was produced and co-written by talented producer & future cousin-in-law JJ Jacobs. Drawing inspiration from artists like Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Lord Huron, Holly Humberstone, Djo, and Sabrina Carpenter, I have found a way to combine my love of a myriad of genres and styles into one project. I love telling stories with adventurous instrumentals and clever lyrics, and I have my eye (& my ears) set on elevating my singer/songwriter roots with elements of pop rock & folk music

For every listen, every save, and every click I have received, I thank you deeply for taking the time to at the very least see what I can do. The one thing I can promise is that this is only the beginning.

Raincoat Fleet

In June of 2021, I adopted the sweetest little Australian Shepherd/Hound Mix puppy and decided to call her Fleetwood (you know, like the band). Now 3 years old, she has blown me away as beyond the most loyal, attentive, and loving dog a girl could ever ask for. The two of us have grown and established our own routine, one of which is Fleet wearing her raincoat outside when we wake up to a rainy day. With her having a knack for always being camera ready, the ability to absolutely serve in yellow, and the near 10,000 photos I've taken of her in just the raincoat alone, Fleet has earned herself the nickname, and image really, of 'Raincoat Fleet.'

So, as I thought about logos for my musical brand, there really was no other option but to create one in her image & no better way to be represented by her than in her jolly yellow coat. Keep an eye out on Instagram for more Raincoat Fleet content, and be sure to pick up an RC Fleet sticker next time you stop by to hear me play!
